The iSchool student conference is an annual event that engages students, faculty, and professionals in conversations about the fields of information and museums. It gives students at the iSchool a platform to share their research with an audience of peers, including students, faculty, and alumni, as well as local information and museum professionals. The event brings these communities together to discover the excellent work that students have done and provides participants with the opportunity to benefit from crowd-sourced community insight.
From theses to class work to exhibition projects, any and all research is up for submission! It is a great opportunity to make connections, practice public speaking, and share in exciting discourses with your colleagues; there is a lot of great work being done in this faculty. Information in the Air reflects on the changes within the information and museum professions and fields and the impact evolutions in media have had on society.
The conference consists of two days of presentations and posters with a reception following the keynote speaker. In collaboration with the iJournal, there will be an electronic post-conference publication accessible online.
