On May 27th and 28th some of our MMst students took part in a mountmaking workshop held through the Inforum's iSkills workshop session. The instructor this year was Devorah Romanek, Curator of Exhibits at the Maxwell Museum of Anthropology, University of New Mexico. Wow! Check out some of these examples! One day focused on storage mounts, while the second day focused on exhibit mounts. They require different techniques, materials, and ways of thinking. If you want to gain a better understanding of how to store and display objects, this workshop is a must! Below: Sarah Kelly's display and storage set-ups! Emily Welsh chose a cute little turtle for her display object with an intricate bowl for her storage choice. This old pulley from our collection looks safer now! ![]() Make sure to stay posted on all of the iSkills workshop opportunities next year!
