They completed their undergraduate degree in Anthropology at X University with a thesis researching the phenomenology and tropes of Jewish Family Purity Laws. Avi has always been passionate about the importance of material culture in helping people connect with the past and believes in making museums more accessible to the public. Their main area of focus is building community focused collections of knowledge which serve the interests of the public as well as investigating the underlying pedagogy of museum practices. In first year, Avi volunteered as a moderator for the student run MMSt Discord server and a contributing writer to the program’s blog, Musings. COMMITTEE ON STANDING REPRESENTATIVE
Johanna HillHi, I'm Johanna, a second year CDP student focusing on old text, maps and how they're used to understand the world. This is my second year on council, and I'm excited to expand my connection to the larger MUSSA community while learning alongside everyone this year. My hobbies include rereading the same books despite having an ever-expanding TBR, ornithology (specifically of the owl variety) and trying all the restaurants around campus. I'm one of MUSSA's many listening ears, on-hand if you need a paper checked or your ideas to be hyped. Thanks for reading this and for being here.
